EXECUTIVE COACHING

The aim of executive coaching is to equip individuals with essential knowledge and skills to reach their full potential in the corporate world.

PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT AT SCHOOLS

A broad spectrum of services regarding programme development and training is offered to schools for learners and educators. Programmes are tailor-made to suit the needs of each school and can be presented in Afrikaans or English.

CORPORATE TRAINING

A wide range of services regarding programme development and training services is offered to corporative institutions. The focus of programme development is to equip personnel with practical knowledge and skills in order to effectively manage problems and to optimise career and personal development.

The Synergy Psychological Services team is internationally accredited to use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory. After more than 60 years of research and development the current MBTI assessment is the most widely used instrument for understanding normal personality differences. Information received from the MBTI inventory leads to a better understanding of the self, motivations, natural strengths and potential areas for growth.

Use of the MBTI personality inventory in organisations has grown rapidly in recent years, as leaders and employees have come to recognise its practical usefulness in solving organisational problems. Therefore, the MBTI is used frequently in programme development and training. Programmes are tailor-made to suit the needs of each institution and can be presented in Afrikaans or English.

MARITAL/COUPLES COUNSELLING

Maintaining marital satisfaction requires effort and commitment from both partners. Furthermore, the development of certain skills is important to ensure open and constructive communication. The emphasis of therapy is on helping couples to learn and apply new skills, focusing on the present and working toward the future. We have a very unique process, whereby two psychologists work together in order to improve objectivity. A combination of individual and joint sessions is found to be very effective.

GROUP AND FAMILY COUNSELLING

Group/family therapy moves individuals in creative and life-giving directions. It provides a safe setting that demonstrates to individuals that they are not alone and that there is hope for creating a different life. The major therapeutic goal of group/family therapy is to actively and directly challenge the group's/family's patterns of interaction, forcing members to look at their own behaviour.

PARENTAL GUIDANCE

The focus of parental guidance is not solely on the child's problem behaviour, but educates parents to adapt their behaviour. Parental guidance is a practical and interactive process that helps parents to effectively manage problems, as well as optimising the development of their child. This can be presented in group or individual settings.
